Our story begins in 1982 with humble beginnings. I embarked on a journey into the world of Gem cutting and polishing with a Lapidary machine created with my own hands for my own usage. My horizon however expanded when requests started coming from my very own customers to start crafting Lapidary machines for them. This new chapter was ventured with a drive for excellence.
In 1984 Sterling Gems & Lapidary began supplying machines across the entire island reaching notable institutions such as The Gem Corporation, The Government and Private Training Institutes, Export Development Board Lapidary Training Center, Technical Colleges and a myriad of small and large Gem cutting businesses. I had reaped what I sowed.
A pivotal moment was made in 1984 when we achieved our first international milestone with an export to Finland. Since then, our footprint has expanded far and wide delivering cutting-edge machinery to diverse entities such as Government Institutions, Private institutions, Companies, Universities and enthusiasts globally.

I buy a Faceting Machine ST-08 from Sterling Gems & Lapidary the last year I test now for approximately 1 year without issues. Received in USA without issues with the assistance of Mr Aponsu. Machine is accurate and easy to use. As multiple reviews is a good quality machine that is going to service for years without issues.
I am new to Faceting and as many before me, did my homework on faceting machines. I am from the UK and their was not much if anything available in the UK. The options were for an American machine at well over £4000 or the Sterling complete starter kit and some options at around £1700.
